Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Consultant specializing in Oracle HCM Suite to design, develop, and implement comprehensive technical solutions within Oracle Cloud Human Capital Management applications. This role requires hands-on technical expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud technical components, deep understanding of HR business workflows, and proficiency in various Oracle HCM technical capabilities including Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, integrations, and customizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Technical Consultant on Oracle Cloud HCM implementation and support projects, providing deep technical expertise across HCM modules including Core HR, Talent Management, Workforce Management, Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation.
- Leverage hands-on experience in Oracle HCM BI & OTBI reporting, workforce analytics, HCM data models, value sets, and personalizations to address complex technical and functional requirements specific to human capital management processes.
- Implement and support Oracle Cloud HCM modules and solutions, ensuring successful resolution of advanced techno-functional challenges related to workforce analytics, compliance reporting, and HR automation workflows.
- Utilize advanced technical skills in Oracle HCM products, including expertise in Fast Formula development, HCM business processes, approval workflows, and HCM security models, combined with strong problem-solving abilities to meet project objectives.
- Demonstrate expertise in developing sophisticated Fast Formulas for payroll calculations, absence accruals, compensation rules, benefits eligibility, and performance rating calculations using complex business logic and regulatory requirements.
- Design and build comprehensive HCM Extracts for payroll interfaces, benefits administration, compliance reporting, and third-party system integrations, ensuring accurate and timely data delivery.
- Maintain proficiency in RDBMS/SQL with specialized focus on Oracle HCM database structures, executing complex workforce BI and OTBI reports, HR analytics dashboards, and executive workforce insights.
- Configure and manage security roles within HCM applications, implementing role-based access controls, data security policies, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and HR confidentiality requirements.
- Develop and implement sophisticated HCM data loading processes using HDL (HCM Data Loader), spreadsheet loaders, and automated data integration workflows for employee onboarding, organizational changes, and mass data updates.
- Collaborate effectively with HR teams, compensation analysts, payroll specialists, and business stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships while delivering technical solutions that support HR operations and compliance.
- Design, develop, and support comprehensive HCM BI & OTBI reports including workforce analytics, compensation analysis, turnover reports, compliance dashboards, and customized HR metrics based on specific organizational requirements.
- Work closely with HCM functional consultants and cross-functional teams to analyze complex HR business requirements, providing technical insights and designing robust workforce management solutions.
- Develop and implement Oracle HCM integrations including payroll system interfaces, benefits administration connectivity, time and attendance integrations, and upstream/downstream HR data flows with third-party systems.
- Create and maintain HCM approval workflows including compensation approvals, performance review processes, absence requests, and organizational hierarchy-based approval routing using Oracle BPM and workflow capabilities.
- Conduct thorough testing of all HCM technical changes, including unit testing, payroll calculation validation, benefits enrolment testing, and performance validation while maintaining detailed documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Demonstrate comprehensive familiarity with Oracle HCM SaaS technical capabilities, including HCM security frameworks, workflow configurations, Fast Formula libraries, HCM personalization options, and specialized HCM technical tools.
- Support Oracle HCM Cloud quarterly releases and updates, evaluating new technical features, implementing relevant enhancements, and ensuring continuous improvement of HCM technical capabilities.
- Provide technical support for HCM production environments, including payroll processing support, benefits enrolment periods, performance review cycles, and critical HR operational windows.
Required Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience in Oracle HCM Suite is essential, with hands-on implementation and support expertise across multiple HCM modules.
- Strong technical expertise in Fast Formula development, including advanced formula types, contexts, database items, and complex calculation logic for payroll, benefits, and compensation scenarios.
- Proven experience with HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extracts, and Oracle HCM integration patterns for large-scale workforce data manipulations and system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for HCM integrations, payroll connectivity, benefits interfaces, and automated HR data synchronization processes.
- Proficient in HCM-specific technical components including HCM security models, approval workflows, HCM personalization frameworks, and HCM reporting architectures.
- Experience working in HCM production support environments, monitoring payroll batch processes, benefits enrolment cycles, and ensuring SLA compliance for critical HR operations.
- Strong understanding of HR business processes including hire-to-retire, compensation management, performance evaluation, absence management, and workforce planning workflows.
- Knowledge of HR compliance requirements, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and audit trail maintenance within Oracle HCM applications.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with ability to work effectively with HR teams, payroll specialists, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, XML, XPath, XSLT specifically applied to Oracle HCM applications and workforce data structures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with Oracle Visual Builder for HCM application customizations and Oracle HCM Cloud extensions and mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of ITSM processes and production support workflows specific to HCM applications and critical HR processing windows including payroll cycles and benefits enrolment.
- Experience in mentoring technical team members and providing guidance on Oracle HCM technical best practices and development standards.
- Knowledge of global HR requirements including multi-country payroll, international benefits, global mobility, and various country-specific HR compliance mandates.
- Oracle Cloud HCM technical certifications or relevant certifications in Oracle HCM technologies and Fast Formula development.
- Experience with HCM data migration including employee data conversion, organizational structure transfers, and historical HR data preservation strategies.
- Understanding of workforce analytics, predictive HR modelling, and advanced reporting concepts for talent management and organizational insights.
- Knowledge of HCM mobile applications, employee self-service portals, and modern user experience design within Oracle HCM Cloud.
